The figures logically vary according to the different ways they are measured or estimated by different sources, and as the war continues. The civilian casualties in consequence of the brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine are currently estimated in between around 10,000 and 100,000 killed, among those probably more than 400 children. Among Ukrainian forces, between 10,000 and 20,000 soldiers are estimated to have been killed already, among Russian forces between 35,000 and 70,000. Probably, over 8 million Ukrainians had to flee from their home country so far. Seen financially, the damage to Ukraine's infrastructure caused by the war is estimated over $137 billion. Around 150,000 residential buildings, over 300 hospitals and more than 3,000 schools and universities were damaged or destroyed, according to the Kyiv School of Economics
